Special Programs
Events that are scheduled every month that include something to create (food, painting, or craft) and a Bible study. Three types of events are offered: Purposeful Painting, Creative Crafts, and Taste and See.
Purposeful Painting Events
"Purposeful Painting" events focus on the study of a Biblical passage that is then illustrated through an acrylic painting created by individuals attending the session. "Purposeful Painting" events are currently held via Zoom. However, in the future, they can be held at the organization's location or, by request, in participant's home, church, or community organization.
A donation of $10 is requested per participant to cover the cost of canvas and painting supplies. Upon registration, virtual "Purposeful Painting" participants will be mailed all supplies needed prior to the class: canvas, paints, brush, apron, stirrers, and any other materials needed.
Creative Crafts Events
"Creative Crafts" events allow individuals to create items for the home (e.g., flower arrangements, wall decorations, home decor) or personal use (jewelry, clothing, personal mugs). Each "Creative Craft" event includes a short Bible Study. Events are currently held via Zoom. However, in the future, events may be held at the organization's location or at participant's home, church or organization. A $10 donation per participant is suggested to cover the cost of supplies. Once registered, virtual "Creative Crafts" participants will be mailed all supplies needed prior to the class. Each session will include a short Bible study.
Taste and See Events
"Taste and See" is a cooking/baking event where you are taught how to prepare a dish or dessert. The event is free and is held via Zoom. Each participant will provide their own supplies. Once registered, we will send you a list of the supplies you should obtain and the Zoom link. On the day of the event, we will make the dish or dessert together--our own cooking/baking class. The dish will be great fun to make and even greater fun to eat. Each session will include a short Bible study.
